Tokyo with a Belgian
Everyday Connections organizes walking tours in the company of Nicolas Wouters, a young Belgian guide who fell madly in love with Tokyo. By foot and by subway he takes you on a discovery tour through the main neighbourhoods. He teaches you quickly and easily who to orientate and navigate through this somewhat overwhelming metropolis and captivates your heart and minds with a thousand and one tricks and anecdotes about the city and its inhabitants.
Private Full day trip
You start your discovery in the Harajuku district with a visit to the Meiji Jingu shrine, amidst a large park. Then you walk past the architectural gems and luxury boutiques along Omotesando Avenue and sip tea at Sunny Hills, a spectacular building. By subway you head for Shibuya, where you can lunch should you be hungry (optional). At the famous Shibuya Crossing time has been foreseen for people-watching. Just to observe the almost mechanical spectacle of hundreds of pedestrians crossing the intersection in all directions at once, is awesome. You pass by the statue of the faithful dog Hachiko, and numerous fashion boutiques, including Tower 109. Then you explore the Shinjuku business district with salary men and take in the splendid views from atop the Metropolitan building,'s 45th floor. Akihabara is known as the district of otaku (or computer geeks). Here, it's all about electronics and ICT and luna-parks of several storeys high! You round-off your introduction to Tokyo with a visit to the Kanda Myojin shrine.
