Must do’s in Miami

Miami Beach: this peninsula is famous for its stunning beaches, smart boutiques and towering resorts. To the south of Miami Beach you will find the world-renowned South Beach; the place-to-be for both night owls and shopaholics. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens: a must for nature lovers. This tropical botanical garden is home to lakes, woodlands and thousands of plant species. 

Little Havana: Cubans who fled their country during the regime of Fidel Castro, flocked together in this neighbourhood, which was afterwards renamed Little Havana. Nowadays this nice neighborhood is the hotspot for salsa dancing and sipping a delicious mojito.

Please note:

Daylight saving time 2015: Miami sets the clock forward in the night of Saturday 7 March to Sunday 8 March. In Belgium, the clock is set forward on the night of Saturday March, 28 to Sunday, March 29th. This entails that between 8 and 29 March, there is a 5 hour instead of 6 hour time difference between Belgium and the U.S.

Winter time 2015: Belgium turns the clock back one hour on the night of Saturday, October 24th to Sunday, October 25th.  Miami turns back the arms of the clock on the night of Saturday, 1 November to Sunday, 2 November. That entails that during the latter week there is a 5 hour instead of 6 hour time difference between Belgium and the U.S.
