Sydney: Good to know
Must do's in Sydney
Circular Quay: a cosy quay in the centre of town near the Opera House. Sip a cocktail in one of the many bars and enjoy the views while ferries and cruise ships anchor or leave.
Bondi Beach: one of the most famous attractions of Sydney. Due to its impressive waves and clear blue waters, Bondi Beach is the most popular spot amongst surfers and sunbathers. Nose about in the surf shops or cool down at the many bars and restaurants. Ultra-enjoyable location.
Going to Sydney with the kids? Visit Taronga Zoo. Even getting there is an adventure! First you hop on the ferry, then on the funicular. A wow-experience to remember! On top, the zoo offers breath-taking views over Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Your pupils will be more than excited when they face your camera overwhelmed by the feeling of having a koala on their shoulder!
Darling Harbour: Sydney-by-night is best viewed from Darling Harbour, a vibrant entertainment district with lots of nice restaurants and bars. See and be seen or the local place-m’as-tu-vu!
Sydney: Insider tips
Trendy locals shop at Crown Street in Surry Hills or King Street in Newtown. That is where you will find the fashionable boutiques, retro pawn shops or second-hand stores, fun household items and affordable eateries.
Is Bondi Beach a little too crowdy for you? Head for the quiet and equally beautiful Manly Beach. You can reach Manly Beach by boat from Circular Quay. With a little luck you may spot dolphins and penguins as you enter Manly Cove.
How to explore Sydney?
