MANCHESTER CITY

With Kevin De Bruyne as the most expensive football player ever in the ranks of Manchester City, watching a match live here is bound to be a ball. While De Bruyne assists are flawless, the defence player Vince "The Prince" Kompany keeps the ranks closed around the goal. Yet Pep Guardiola's team still has more than 2 world stars running between the lines. It's only logical they are runners up for the title and scor ewell in the Champions League. The Etihad Stadium, the home of Manchester City football team, is a modern football temple where you can admire the performance of the Cityzens in comfort. Though we have to admit Manchester City cannot level with the rich history of its arch-rival Manchester United, The club has been amongst the top teams in recent years. The millions paid by the Abu Dhabi United Group may have assisted and are not entirely alien to this.

ARSENAL

Arsenal is much more than just a football club, it is an institution. For years now, Arsène Wenger guarantees academic college football. The triangles cannot possibly be kept count of and yet no cup had their name written on it. This does not alter the fact that Arsenal guarantees technical masterpieces and creative combinations. With toppers like Özil, Lacazette and Torreira on the field it can hardly be labelled ‘surprising’. This year Arsenal is not quite among the absolute top, but that will not spoil the fun during an evening or afternoon at the Emirates Stadium, its home since 2006. The 60,000 seater stadium also frequently hosts concerts.

The stadium is located in the Islington district in North London a quick rail ride away from central London. A match of The Gunners can therefore perfectly be combined with a city trip to this fantastic metropolis.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS

Moussa Dembélé may have been moved to China, with Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld there are still 2 Belgians goal getters in the team of Mauricio Pochettino. Add to that an absolute ball virtuoso like Dele Alli and a prize gunner like Harry Kane and you immediately understand why the Spurs have been competing consecutively in the Premier League. The legendary White Hart Lane stadium was abandoned on May 14, 2017 and for a while The Spurs played their matches at the Wembley Stadium. In January 2019 the Tottenham Hotspur stadium was inaugurated, a milestone in the history of the club.

FULHAM

Did you know that Fulham is the oldest football club in London which features in the Premier League? No minor achievement, if you know the other London top clubs they are up against in the highest division. Fulham may have been a modal mid-engine these recent years, yet attending a match at Craven Cottage is an experience. While The Cottagers never really won any significant cups and it does not look good for them this year either, the atmosphere rocks. The club fights bravely against relegation, though avoiding it may proof a bit of a challenge. Aleksandar Mitrovic has been with the team as a striker for many a year and André Schürrle is a well-known name in international football too. Even the name Neeskens Kebano, a former player of RC Genk, might ring a bell and even Denis Odoi is an oldie and goodie.

Fulham, incidentally, is located in West London. The centre of the European capital is only minutes away. Shopping, high tea or visiting some of London’s attractions? It can perfectly be combined with attending a Fulham FC match.
