Southern Sri Lanka boasts stunning nature scenes from rolling hills with remnants of British colonies to an absolute abundance of fauna and flora. During this extension, you will spend 2 nights in Nuwara Eliya and 2 nights in Yala.
You visit a local tea plantation, make a train ride through the green tea plantations and undertake a game drive by 4x4 in order to spot elephants, leopards and much more in the wild.

Day-to-day program
Day 1 & 2
Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
In the morning your driver takes you to the station of Kandy from where you hop on the train to the High Plateaus. The landscape changes as you navigate through the tea plantations. En-route you meet and have the time to converse with the hospitable Sri Lankans. Your driver picks you up in Hatton Station and takes you to Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya is an old British colonial base and that is obvious to this day. This cozy village lies between the tea plantations. On Day 2 you will visit one. Sri Lankan tea can rightly be called one of the best in the world. With supplement (on site) you can also visit the Horton Plains today. In this beautiful nature reserve you will also find the panoramic World's End.
