Day 1 - Brussels > Los Angeles
Meet & greet at Brussels Airport. You board your flight to Los Angeles. Your guide is ready at the airport pf arrival to welcome you and your transfer to the hotel has been organized.
Day 2 - Los Angeles
After a good night's rest and a healthy breakfast, you have a day off in Los Angeles. You can participate in an excursion to charming San Diego, near the Mexican border (optional).
Day 3 - Los Angeles > Santa Barbara > Buellton
You start the day with a city discovery of the "City of Angels", including downtown, Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Then you continue on to Santa Barbara, famous for its Spanish architecture and its wide beaches with palm trees. Here you can enjoy an orientation tour with stops at the mission, the courthouse as well as near Stearn’s Wharf before continuing on to the central coast of California.
Day 4 - Buellton > Monterey < San Francisco
Monterey, Carmel and San Francisco as well as the charming road that connects them, that’ is on your programme today. You explore the friendly town of Monterey with Fisherman's Wharf and "Cannery Row". This street became famous after the publication of the novel by John Steinbeck. There is time to visit the beautiful Monterey Aquarium (optional). After lunch in Carmel you travel on to San Francisco, perhaps the most scenic American city. It is possible to make a night tour through San Francisco (optional).
Day 5 - San Francisco > Modesto
During your city tour through the "City by the Bay" you visit Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square, Chinatown and North Beach. Afterwards, those who feel tempted can check in for a cruise in the bay (optional).
Day 6 - Modesto > Yosemite > Visalia/Kingsburg
Today, the theme of the day is the discovery of Yosemite National Park. This park is one of the most diverse and popular parks in the United States. John Muir, the famous American curator and "Father of National Parks" once said that no man-made temple could be compared to the beauty of Yosemite. You explore the Yosemite Valley and the visitor centre.
Day 7 - Visalia > Joshua Tree National park > Palm Springs
Another national park that is different to say the least is on the agenda today: Joshua Tree National Park. It was the Mormons who pointed out the relationship between the shape of the trees (Joshua trees) and the figure of the prophet Joshua. You will also find some of the most interesting geological formations in the California desert in the park.
Day 8 - Palm Springs > Grand Canyon > Williams/Flagstaff
Today you follow the legendary Route 66 before you reach the magical Grand Canyon. This is the perfect place for a helicopter ride as means to experience the splendour and grandeur of Grand Canyon with eagle eyes (optional). Too good for words.
Day 9 - Williams/Flagstaff > Lake Powell > Bryce Canyon
The beautiful Lake Powell lake was created after the construction of Glen Canyon Dam and offers breath-taking scenery. Next you reach the Mormon state of Utah. Your final destination today is the extraordinary Bryce Canyon National Park with its particular hoodoos and hues that only come fully into their own in the evening light. You learn more about its geological history before you arrive at your hotel in the immediate vicinity of the park.
Day 10 - Bryce Canyon > Zion > Las Vegas
A day full of contrasts, that is what you can expect. You start with a visit to the tranquil and colourful Zion National Park, whose unique landscapes have been created by the wind, weather and power of the Virgin River before you end up in the electrifying show and gambling mecca, Las Vegas. Quite unique is the evening tour that leads along the Las Vegas Strip and the centre with Fremont Street Experience (optional).
Day 11 - Las Vegas (Death Valley)
Discovering Las Vegas in a day is not a breeze. And that would not leave time for the optional excursion to the nearby Death Valley National Park with a visit to Zabriskie Point, Badwater, the lowest point of the western hemisphere (weather permitting) , and the Furnace Creek visitor centre, where you take the lunch break (not included).
Day 12 - Las Vegas > Los Angeles
Los Angeles beckons for our last night in California before you board your flight home tomorrow. But no worries, there is plenty of choice of activity to pick from to round of a fabulous journey in a suitable way!
Day 13 - Los Angeles > Brussels
Time to say goodbye to the West of the United States and your fellow travellers (for the time being). This was simply unforgettable. So much momentum, so much to share and so many memories .o cherish forever.
Day 14 - Brussels
