The St. Lawrence river is a playground for whales. They are spotted frequently here. Logical if you know this river is like a buffet for whales thanks to the abundance of food available. No wonder they love to spend time here. The perfect opportunity to board a Zodiac and spot these animals up close.
Per Zodiac a dozen people can enjoy the ride together and spot the larger species of whales. As a matter of fact there are 11 different species here. Dressed up in a waterproof outfit, you keep your eyes peeled for any water sprays. Once spotted, you approach the whales up to the legal 100 yards distance while you listen to factual information about these gentle giants. By the way, if you would feel more comfortable approaching them by boat, that is possible as well. Many operators offer whale-watching. Just because, nowhere in the world is the chance of spotting whales higher, that is a given. Don't forget to take your smartphone and possibly binoculars during this unforgettable trip.
