The Hana Highway is an iconic road that winds along the northeast coast of Maui, Hawaii.
The winding road passes through dense jungle, past waterfalls and cliffs, and offers breathtaking ocean views. Beginning in Kahului and ending in the remote town of Hana, the route stretches for about 80 kilometers.
This route has numerous bridges, of which the Twin Falls bridge overlooking Twin Falls waterfalls is just about the most famous. There is no shortage of waterfalls on this route anyway.
Be sure to visit the Ke'anae Peninsula, a headland of black lava jutting out into the ocean, and the black sand beach of Waianapanapa State Park. Note that this drive is quite challenging due to the winding and narrow roads.
