In order to render your time in Brazil even more intense and exciting, we suggest a number of excursions during your itinerary in the company of an English-speaking guide in group. (unless otherwise mentioned). This excursion cluster includes:

• Day 2: Full day visit of the Corcovado and sugarloaf mountain

• Day 3: Half-day visit to the port of Paravilha (local transport and private guide)

• Day 4: Half-day visit of Tijuca forest by jeep

• Day 6: Half-day visit of the Argentinian side of the Iguasu Falls (+/-6h)

• Day 7: Half-day visit of the Iguasu falls from the Brazilian side (+/-3h)

• Day 9: Half-day guided visit of Salvador (+/-4h), upper city and the historical center

Travel Documents

• Travel documents: All Belgian nationals* (children and babies included) must be in possession of an international e-passport (biometric) containing min. 2 blank pages, valid for at least 6 months after the day of departure. In order to organize consular services even better, may we recommend you register your stay in the country via https://www.travellersonline.diplomatie.be.

• All passengers who travel to and /or via the U.S. must apply for an electronic travel authorization at least 72 hours prior to departure. The ESTA procedure must be requested via the official website link https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov and paid by a personal credit card only. Climate

Brazil is subject to different climates according to its regions. Being located in the southern hemisphere, the country experiences rather hot summers that stretch from September to March with temperatures exceeding 30 ° C. The winters, from June to September, are never very cold and the temperatures are rather mild.

Hard to define the best period to travel! It is the fifth largest country in the world. Overall, Brazil can be visited all year but with a preference for the months from June to September. During this period, the temperatures are not too high and you will avoid the rains which can be intense in summer. April, however could be the absolute favorite: the summer rains are gone and temperatures are still warm. The water temperature as well is still very pleasant.
