Day 1 - 3

Bangkok

You arrive at Bangkok airport and quickly transfer to your hotel.

In the afternoon a long tail boat will whisk you down the Chao Praha River and its side canals, known as klongs. Here, you can experience daily life as it is lived in the wooden stilted houses on the river banks. This is where bangkok's nickname 'Venice of Asia' gets its true meaning. You pause at the magnificent Temple of Dawn, Wat Arun. By boat you continue to the pier at Chinatown from where you take a walk through the narrow alleys and enjoy the authentic Chinese atmosphere. A visit to a local Chinese temple completes this experience. Return to your hotel.

Day 2 immerses you again in Thai culture. You visit two of the major highlights of Thailand: Bangkok's Wat Po and its Royal Palace. Wat Po is famous for its 15m x45m long, gilded, reclining Buddha. The Royal Palace is part of a vast and colourful temple complex which bears witness to the wealth of Siam (the ancient name of Thailand). The Emerald Buddha, the most venerated statue in Thailand is housed here. To round off your day's exploration in colourful and fragant way, you stroll around the Pa Klong flower market in the company of your guide.

Day 3 will bring you leisure and excitement as you fill in your favourite, optional full day excursion. Will it be the age-old Ayutthaya, Damnoek Saduak’s floating market or an early morning cycle trip through the hustle and bustle of rising Bangkok?
