Day 1 - Yangon
Your guide welcomes you at the airport and takes you to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 - Yangon – Bagan (B - L)
Your guide takes you on a journey to the most important monument of the city, the Shwedagon. This 2500 year old temple complex is the main shrine of Myanmar, eight central gilded stupas, each 99 feet high, and 64 smaller stupas rich. Should you wish to do so, you may bring offerings to the monks and meet a clear voyant. Lunch followed by an afternoon at leisure to explore the city at your own pace.
Rendez-vous at 6 pm at the bus station for your departure to Bagan where you are expected to arrive the next morning at 6 am.
Day 3 - Mandalay - Bagan
At your arrival you head towards your hotel independently. Day off. Why not rent a bike and explore the impressive site of Bagan at your own pace.
Days 4 - 5 - Bagan (B)
Your day starts with a visit to Myinkaba market. Your guide introduces you to the local produce and you are encouraged to taste 3 local snacks. Then it is time for the village of Taungbi where an old wooden monastery and 2 lesser known temples are on your programme. Rest of the day and tomorrow off.
Day 6 - Bagan - Kalaw (B)
You have an early appointment today as your presence is required at 5.30 am at the bus station for your departure to Kalaw. Your estimated time of arrival: 3.30pm. You direct yourself to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 7 - Kalaw – Nyanug Shwe (B)
Today you head towards the picturesque colonial train station in Kalaw to board the 11 am train to Shwe Nyaung! You travel through mountains and valleys. Besides the enchanting landscapes scenes of every day life glide by at the stops in the different villages. A unique experience! You head to your hotel at your own pace and initiative. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 8 - Lake Inle (B-L)
What a day to look forward to ! Today you spend your time on and around the idyllic and world-famous Lake Inle. You go and explore its waters aboard a private vessel and witness amazing floating gardens, discover local crafts and sail along the famous ‘leg rowers’. You visit a weekly traditional and nomadic market and meet Shan and Pa-O hill tribes do their shopping. Afterwards you visit the most sacred place in the region, the Daw Oo Pagoda Phaung and its five gilded statues of Lord Buddha.
Day 9 - Lac Inle – Heho – Yangon (B)
